B.T. & Jakob Fuglsang in Groundbreaking Tour de France Cooperation

This summer Denmark's greatest cycling star Jakob Fuglsang becomes part of B.T.'s massive Tour de France coverage in a new grounbreaking project. 



The newly crowned Liége-Bastogne-Liége winner has partnered up with B.T., which means that the many Danish cycling fans will get daily insider stories from Jakob Fuglsang himself.

After each stage Jakob Fuglsang, Astana's Danish Tour captain will write highly topical clums in his own words and in detail - he will tell about his experiences shortly aften they have taken place on the roads in Belgium and France.

The ambition is to take B.T.'s many users behind the Tour and give them a personal insight delivered from the otherwise normally so sacred and closed areas. 


"I'm extremely happy to be part of B.T.'s Tour de France coverage this summer, and I'm looking forward to take all the Danes behind the Tour scenes. My goal is to give them a deeper understanding of what's going on when all the TV cameras are turned off, and when you can't hear or see what we in the field experience. I will do my best to deliver a deeper insight and understanding of the world's greatest cycling race.

This season the 34 year old Jakob Fuglsang has achieved many impressive results. Early this season he won the Spanish stage race Ruta del Sol, won a stage in Tirreno Adriatico and became third in the overall Italian race. The Dane became second in the new classic Strade Bianche before he in a fantastic spring sprint became third in Amstel Gold Race, second in Fleche Wallonne, and last won the monument Liége-Bastogne-Liége. 

With the great results Jakob Fuglsang has made clear that he is a great bid for podium at this year's Tour de France. Therefore it pleases the sports manager of B.T., Soren Klaestrup that the many users of B.T. can follow Fuglsang closly every day and get an extraordinary insight into the the Dane's fight for success on the French roads when Fuglsang's personal clums will be published on the mobile.  


"I don't think it's ever seen in Denmark before that you get this close to one of the Tour de France's main riders. We will hear how Jakob attacs, why he let the teammates pull ahead, what the tactics are in the mountains, who he is planning alliances with in the field, and where the decisive attempts must be made. There will be 21 clums from Jakob Fuglsang and additionally B.T. is working hard to produce a series of web docs with Fuglsang targeted directly to the mobile. The series is a continuation of B.T. Sport's new video format "B.T. Backstage", which premieres in the beginning of July just before the start of Tour de France in Brussel. 

In the web doc B.T. will be following Fuglsang's intense preparations for the Tour. They are with him in the private sphere in Monaco, on the training rides in the mountains, when he is relaxing with his wife Loulou Fuglsang and their daughter Jamie Lou, when he is planning the tactics on selected Tour stages, and when he targeted prepare himself for Tour success.

Jakob Fuglsang will together with Brian holm enter into a strong B.T. team, which also consists of a number of reporters who will be on the roads of France this summer.
