Ole Ritter is a former professional time trial cyclist. He got his breakthrough in 1962 where he won two silver medals at the World Championships in Italy. In 1967 he signed a deal with team Germanvox-Wega the same year he won the individual time trial in Giro d’Italia.
He participated nine times in Giro d’Italia and won four stages. That makes him the most successful Danish cyclist ever to race the Giro d’Italia.
Ole Ritter participated in the Olympics in Tokyo 1964, and ended as no. 7 iin 100m team time trial.
At the end of his career he participated in the Danish six days race. He won the race three times in 1974,1975 and in 1977. Ole Ritter is one of the most successful cyclists Denmark has ever had.
